On April 5, 2017, Eric Bruns, co-director of NWI, will present, “Wraparound Care Coordination for Youth with Complex Needs: Myths, Realities, and the Research Base” at the Judge Baker Children’s Center Child Mental Health Forum (CMHF) lecture series in Boston. CMHF is a monthly lecture series featuring clinical, research, and academic leaders in child and adolescent mental health. Participants can join in-person or via live streaming.

The Call for Papers Open is now open for the 30th Annual Research & Policy Conference Child, Adolescent, and Young Adult Behavioral Health in Tampa, FL March 5-8, 2017. This year the conference will include a Wraparound track highlighting “Research on wraparound and care coordination for youth and families with the most complex and costly needs.” The deadline for proposals has been extended to Nov. 4.

Remembering Andrew Debicki (1954-2016)

The National Wraparound Initiative is saddened to announce the death of a treasured partner and friend, Andrew Debicki.
Andrew was Director of WrapAround Development for Shalem Mental Health Network in Hamilton, Ontario, and the National Development Director for Wrap Canada. Andrew embodied the principles of Wraparound through his unwavering dedication to the cause of helping youth with complex needs and their families. His vision and commitment to this cause brought Wraparound to Provinces and communities all over Canada. He was a close collaborator with the NWI and the University of Washington Wraparound Evaluation and Research Team, and we will miss him …

The NWI is a core partner in the TA Network, which is offering access to the webinar “Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder: Understanding, Assessing, and Intervening,” featuring Lisa Jacobson, Ph.D., a Neuropsychologist at Kennedy Krieger Institute. In this presentation, Dr. Jacobson describes the definitions, diagnosis, prevalence, comorbidities and complications, costs, assessment, and treatment of ADHD as part of the TA Network Clinical Distance Learning Series.
