Description:

The Institute for Innovation and Implementation with the University of Maryland, Baltimore School of Social Work has an opportunity for a Program Director. The Program Director will lead all efforts related to the National Quality Improvement Center (QIC) that seeks to improve well-being, stability, and permanency of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) children and youth in foster care. The Program Director should bring extensive knowledge about the needs of LGBTQ youth as well as experience operationalizing implementation science. The position will be responsible for planning and overseeing the short and long-term strategic planning and strategies for programmatic success of the QIC. Together with the Principle Investigator, the QIC Leadership Team and the Children’s Bureau, the Program Director will drive the program strategy, leads the implementation, works closely with internal and external stakeholders, facilitates and coordinates QIC Learning Collaborative, and identifies gaps in services and designs additional program elements which address them. The Program Director will have direct responsibility and play a key leadership role in operating the QIC and has the authority to formulate, affect, interpret or implement management policies and operating practices.
