Introduction to the CMHI National Evaluation Early Childhood Tools

As part of the Early Childhood System of Care (SOC) Learning Community, the TA Network and the National Evaluation of the federal Children’s Mental Health Initiative (CMHI) will jointly hold a two-part series on evaluating early childhood systems of care (SOCs). Grantees focusing on early childhood are encouraged to participate, as well as other states and communities interesting in expanding their SOCs to serve young children and their families.

The National Evaluation will be rolling out new tools for children ages 0-5. This learning community session will describe the new tools, why the National Evaluation is collecting early childhood data, and how the tools can be used by SOCs serving early childhood populations. The session will explore which states and communities are already using some of these tools, and what other early childhood tools they are using.
