Making the Most of Your Wraparound Fidelity Data: How to Interpret WFI-EZ Results and Put Them to Use

The Wraparound Fidelity Index, Short form (WFI-EZ) is a brief survey of fidelity to the Wraparound care coordination model. With the WFI-EZ now used by a diverse community of over 40 state and local wraparound initiatives, there is a need for clarity around how best to interpret results of the tool across its three domains of fidelity, satisfaction, and outcomes. What scores represent “High Fidelity” versus a need for improvement? What are implications of using internal versus external data collectors, getting high versus low response rates, or using a sampling strategy versus collecting data for all enrolled families? How does an initiative best incorporate data into a dynamic CQI process that supports quality practice?

In this webinar, WERT will provide guidance about both the interpretation and use of WFI-EZ results. First, WERT will review each of the types of data that the WFI-EZ generates—total scores, key element scores, and item-level scores—and how to best understand what these numbers represent. Particular focus will be given to understanding and using the national WFI-EZ mean scores that accompany WFI-EZ results. Second, WERT will provide guidance about how to make use of these results at multiple levels of Wraparound implementation: in supervision, at an organizational level, and at a system level. Participants can expect to leave with practical steps to understanding and disseminating their WFI-EZ results and sample language for reporting purposes.
