Tribute to Karl Dennis, the “Father of Wraparound”
Karl Dennis, one of the earliest practitioners and advocates of unconditional care and Wraparound, passed away last month after a long illness. This tribute, written by Karl’s long-time friend and colleague Ira Lourie, lovingly describes a few of the many contributions that led to Karl being described as the heart and soul of Wraparound.

Webinar Recording: Turnover in the Wraparound Workforce
Our latest webinar explored the findings of a recent study on turnover within the Wraparound workforce. Results of the study suggest an average turnover rate of 30% annually. This webinar reviewed data related to patterns of turnover across the Wraparound workforce, the impact of turnover on service outcomes, causes of high rates of turnover and potential strategies to decrease current and future turnover rates.

Online Curriculum: Fathers and Fatherhood
Fathers and father figures are essential to ensure infants’ and young children’s healthy development. This curriculum highlights stories from communities around the country to illustrate the importance of including fathers from all backgrounds. Additionally, it provides a comprehensive set of resources on father engagement programming. Curriculum users will walk away understanding the why and the how of authentic father engagement.

Recorded Webinar: Work Requirements and Safety Net Coverage
Work requirements for safety net programs like SNAP and Medicaid are intended to promote employment among safety net program participants. However, research indicates work requirements can make it difficult to access and maintain those benefits, even among those who are eligible. In this webinar, our panelists discussed the stated goals of work requirements and how they function in practice, as well as what they mean for the experiences of eligible individuals and families.

Webinar: Beyond the Stages: Affirming and Supporting Grief in Youth and Families

Grief is a complex, deeply personal experience that extends far beyond the commonly known “five stages.” In this interactive workshop, participants will explore a broader, more inclusive understanding of grief, examining how it shows up in the lives of youth and families in non-linear and culturally specific ways. Together, we will explore common barriers to healing, challenge traditional models, identify everyday strategies for supporting the grief process, and engage with critical reflection questions designed to deepen compassionate practice.
