New "Monthly Minute": Introduction to Wraparound

This short animated video offers a general introduction to Wraparound for children, families and others who may be learning about it for the first time. It describes why this care coordination process was created, and how its team approach helps children and youth who experience serious mental health or behavioral challenges, and their families.

NWI and NWIC collaborated with The Institute for Innovation & Implementation, who created this Monthly Minute. The Monthly Minute series of short, informational videos is one of the resources available through the National Technical Assistance Network for Children's Behavioral Health (TA Network).

Reminder: NWI Has Resources to Help You Nominate Wraparound for the FFPSA Clearinghouse

Nomination Deadline: October 31, 2019

As we announced last week, NWI, along with NWIC and WERT, developed materials for the field to support nominations of Wraparound being submitted for the Administration for Children and Families Title IV- E Prevention Services Clearinghouse by the Oct. 31 deadline.

The Clearinghouse will be reviewing research on programs and services intended to provide enhanced support to children and families and prevent foster care placements. Reviews will determine which programs qualify under the Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA). It is crucially important that Intensive Care Coordination Using High-Fidelity Wraparound is included in the Clearinghouse, so that it can be funded under the FFPSA.
