Over 100 people attended NWI's September 7th webinar, "Practice, Organization, and Quality Standards for Wraparound: A New Resource from the National Wraparound Initiative." During the webinar, presenters unveiled a working draft of Wraparound implementation and quality standards. This guide, prepared by Pathways RTC Project AMP+, lists ten examples of what (and what not) to say when working with young people. The examples demonstrate techniques for involving young people in their treatment plans as active participants.

Ruth Gammon

At the 2016 National Wraparound Implementation Academy, Dr. Ruth Gammon nominated the New Zealand Ministry of Education Intensive Wraparound Te Kahu Tōī program for an innovation award. The Ministry is in the process of restructuring its approach to Wraparound based on the National Wraparound Initiative’s model. Ruth works with the Ministry and other groups to implement high-fidelity, culturally-relevant Wraparound throughout New Zealand.

LGBTQI2-S Learning Community

Featuring resources from SAMHSA's National LGBTQI2-S Workgroup, this learning community session will offer an overview of the Workgroup; sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression (SOGIE) data and utilization; and highlight the intersectionality of identities for LGBTQI2-S youth of color.

Tampa Conference: Submit Proposals for the Wrap Track!

The 30th Annual Research & Policy Conference on Child, Adolescent, and Young Adult Behavioral Health will be held March 5-8, 2017 at the Hilton Tampa Downtown Hotel. The 2017 conference will feature a track dedicated to Wraparound research and innovations. We encourage you to submit your proposals for the Wraparound track from the conference web site before October 28th.
