Intensive Care Coordination for Children and Youth with Complex Mental and Substance Use Disorders: State and Community Profiles

Published by SAMHSA, this report provides an overview of the country's current implementation of Intensive Care Coordination (ICC) using high-quality Wraparound for children with serious behavioral health needs. It also provides specifics on implementation for states looking to expand and improve their ICC strategies. Details from 40 states that completed a self-report with a significant emphasis on Wraparound are included. The report offers details on eligibility criteria, evidence-based screening tools, evidence-based practices, credentialing requirements for care coordinators, integration with physical health care services, role of psychiatry in ICC, financing mechanisms including Medicaid vehicles and managed care organizations, rates and billing structure, staff training and tracking outcomes.

Webinar: A Grand Plan: ZERO TO THREE'S National Survey of Grandparents Who Care For Grandchildren

Date/Time: November 22, 2019, 9:30am – 11am PT / 12:30pm – 2pm ET

This TA Network webinar will focus on how childhood systems are responding to and supporting grandparent-led families. Rebecca Parlakian and Kathy Kinsner from ZERO to THREE will present the results of their recent national survey of grandparents caring for grandchildren.

33rd Annual Research & Policy Conference on Child, Adolescent and Young Adult Behavioral Health

Date/Location: March 15 – 18, 2020, Tampa, FL

Known widely as "The Tampa Conference," this annual gathering of more than 700 researchers, evaluators, policymakers, administrators, parents, and advocates is focused on the development of the research base essential to improved service systems for children and youth with mental health challenges and their families. The keynote speakers for the 2020 conference will be: David R. Williams, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health; Sandra Gasca-Gonzales, Annie E. Casey Foundation; and Gary Blau, The Hackett Center for Mental Health.
