Call to the Field from our Colleagues in Puerto Rico – More Spanish Language Materials Needed

In this recent blog post, we are calling on the NWI community to help address the need for more Spanish language materials. This important concern was recently highlighted again for us by a request from Mayra M. Perez Gonzalez, an evaluator with PR SOC Initiative III at ASSMC, the Administration of Mental Health and Addiction Services in Puerto Rico.

Spotlight: Bonnie Evans

Bonnie Evans is the lead Wraparound Trainer and Coach at the Texas Center of the Institute for Innovation and Implementation at the University of Maryland, School of Social Work. Originally from Australia, Bonnie is now traveling across Texas in support of the state’s commitment to delivering high quality Wraparound to Texan youth and families.

Call for Nominations: Youth MOVE National's Rockstar Awards 2018

Deadline: May 27, 2018

Youth MOVE National is now accepting nominations for its annual Rockstar Awards. The Rockstar Awards recognize individuals and organizations who have made an outstanding contribution to the improvement of youth services, and youth-serving systems that support the positive growth and development of young people – including mental health, juvenile justice, education, and child welfare.

University of Maryland, Baltimore, Training Institutes

Date / Location: July 25 – 28, 2018, Washington, DC

Pre-Institutes Date / Location: July 24 – 25, 2018, Washington, DC

The Training Institutes will focus on the theme, "Leading Change – Integrating Systems and Improving Outcomes in Behavioral Health for Children, Youth, Young Adults, and Their Families." There will also be six Pre-Institute Programs offering in-depth sessions including best practices in residential interventions, reducing anti-LGBTQ+ bias, supervision in Wraparound, adaptive system of care leadership, and more.

2018 Annual Conference on Advancing School Mental Health

Date / Location: October 11 – 13, 2018, Las Vegas, NV

This year the annual conference of the Center for School Mental Health (CSMH) will feature the theme, "School Mental Health – A Sure Bet for Student Success!" Early bird registration rates are available until June 30, 2018.
