WERT Learning Community Forum

Jeremy Becker, research coordinator with the Wraparound Evaluation & Research Team (WERT), recently posted a solution to a common issue in accessing Wraptrack. Wraptrack is the online data entry and reporting system that generates demographic and fidelity reports for the WFAS tools. Check out past postings in this forum as well!

NWI’s Eric Bruns Featured Speaker at Child Mental Health Forum

On April 5, 2017, Eric Bruns, PhD, Co-Director of NWI, will present, "Wraparound Care Coordination for Youth with Complex Needs: Myths, Realities, and the Research Base" at the Judge Baker Children's Center Child Mental Health Forum (CMHF) lecture series in Boston. CMHF is a monthly lecture series featuring clinical, research, and academic leaders in child and adolescent mental health. Participants can join in-person or via live streaming.

Jennifer Schurer Coldiron

Jennifer Schurer Coldiron has been a Research Scientist with the Wraparound Evaluation and Research Team at the University of Washington in Seattle since early 2014. She leads numerous projects and initiatives related to improving data-driven Wraparound implementation and practice. As in the past, Jennifer is looking forward to being an instructor in the Strengthening Evaluation, Research, and Outcomes Management track of the 2017 National Wraparound Implementation Academy.

CMS Seeking Input on New Pediatric Payment Models

The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) issued a Request for Information (RFI) to obtain input on a draft model concept focused on improving the health of children and youth covered by Medicaid and CHIP through state-driven integration of health care and health-related social services.

National Wraparound Implementation Academy: Early Bird Registration

Date / Location: September 11 – 13, 2017, Baltimore, MD

The 2017 National Wraparound Implementation Academy will provide participants with opportunities to build knowledge and skills to support their work in Wraparound. This year's Academy will feature intermediate and advanced tracks that build upon last year's content, as well as tracks designed for those just beginning in Wraparound.

Webinar: What To Do (And Not Do) When Children Are Anxious

Date / Time: March 9, 2017, 10am – 11am PT / 1pm – 2pm ET

This NIMH webinar will offer caregivers information on the nature and causes of anxiety, practical strategies to help children break the cycle of anxiety and ways to identify and change the cycle of accommodating anxiety within the family.

Core Provider Training: Family Acceptance Project

Date / Location: April 25 – 26, 2017, Detroit, MI

Dr. Caitlin Ryan, along with the Family Run Executive Director Leadership Association (FREDLA), will lead this training. It focuses on a family-based approach to wellness, prevention and care for LGBTQ children, youth, and young adults, based on the Family Acceptance Project's family intervention and support model.
