Upcoming NWI Webinar: Practice, Organization, and Quality Standards for Wraparound

Date / Time: September 7, 2016, 11am – 12pm PDT / 2pm – 3pm EDT

In this webinar, the UW Wraparound Evaluation and Research Team (WERT) will present a new resource of the NWI – a comprehensive summary of Practice, Organization, and System Standards for Wraparound. The webinar will explain the development of these standards – still in draft form for review and pilot testing – and describe how to use the tool for Wraparound planning and self-assessment.

Now Available: Tampa Presentation on Training and Coaching Outcomes

Have you checked out the NWI's YouTube Channel lately? You'll find a wealth of information including our most recent addition: "Differences in Wraparound Training and Coaching Outcomes as a Function of System Context." This presentation was delivered by Spencer Hensley, Kim Estep and Marlene Matarese, at the 29th Annual Research and Policy Conference on Child, Adolescent and Young Adult Behavioral Health.

New Resource Added to NWI Library!

The NWI is a core member of the National Technical Assistance Network for Children's Behavioral Health (TA Network). This TA Network tip sheet was produced by FREDLA (the Family Run Executive Director Leadership Association). It includes information about how to best utilize focus groups to gather input from families and other stakeholders.

Sharice Jackson

Sharice Jackson

Sharice Jackson recently earned her MSW from Portland State University, and works as a training specialist on the Achieve My Plan Project.  Her role involves training and supporting care coordinators and peer support providers who work with youth and young adults. At the National Wraparound Implementation Academy, she will be presenting on Youth Engagement in Wraparound and Supervision and Support for Youth Peer Providers.

Tampa Conference: Submit Proposals for the Wrap Track!

The 30th Annual Research & Policy Conference on Child, Adolescent, and Young Adult Behavioral Health will be held March 5-8, 2017 at the Hilton Tampa Downtown Hotel. The 2017 conference will feature a track dedicated to Wraparound research and innovations. We encourage you to submit your proposals for the Wraparound track from the conference web site before October 28th.

Webinar: Using Medicaid to Support Trauma Services in Schools

Date / Time: Monday, September 19, 2016, 12pm PDT / 3pm EDT

Hosted by The National Center for Mental Health and Juvenile Justice, in partnership with the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, this webinar will highlight the flexibility available to states to provide and fund trauma services in schools through Medicaid.
